Hi Friends! It has been a minute; I mean a few months since I last posted. It is time to get back to posting interesting and enlightening information that I have come across the web about the continuing surge of the plant-based foods movement.
I have put together a list of documentaries worth watching around plant-based eating and how it affects your health and the environment. Most of the films can be found on Netflix or YouTube. There are dozens of documentaries on the subject. These are few of my favorites.
- What the Health – This documentary was the catalyst for me taking the final step to a fully plant-based diet. This film delves into the impact of eating a plant-based diet on diseases that are present in our society today. Watch on Netflix or YouTube.
2. Cowspiracy – Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption and pollution and is responsible for greenhouses gases than the transportation industry. This documentary investigates why the world’s leading organizations are too afraid to talk about it. Watch The Documentary or YouTube.
3. Forks Over Knives – This documentary was made in 2011 and it examines that most, if not all, of the chronic diseases that afflict us can be controlled or even reversed by eliminating animal-based and processed foods. Watch on Tubi or YouTube.
4. Seaspiracy – This documentary can be found on Netflix, and it takes a “deep dive” on the fishing industries and it’s impact on our environment. The groundbreaking new documentary that shocked the world, shining a light on the global fishing. 11,ooo to 30,000 sharks are killed every hour of every day, totaling around 4.5 million a year. 5. The Game Changers – Vegan athletes (Lewis Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Wilks, and many more) answer the same question that all vegans are asked on a consistent basis, “where do you get your protein?” The main message is Vegan is Best. The film aims to make the case that a vegan diet isn’t only the most advantageous diet for term health, but for an athletic edge as well… Watch on Netflix or YouTube.
6. Eating Animals – This film explores how animal agriculture moved from the pastures to industrial. Narrated by Natalie Portman and the Executive Producer is James Cameron (Titanic). Watch on YouTube or IMDb.
